SELITA: Sepeda Listrik bikinan Mahasiswa Teknik Mesin UNDIP Berhasil Menjuarai Kompetisi PLN ICE 2021
Undip Mechanical Engineering students have once again succeeded in making a new innovation at the 2021 PLN ICE (Innovation & Competition in Electricity) competition in the bicycle category to make electric bicycle prototypes. Five mechanical engineering students at Diponegoro University managed to complete the prototype of the electric bicycle very well and named the bicycle SELITA (Our Electric Bike). The SELITA team is chaired by M. Faisal Amrullah and consists of Khaidir Noor, Jonathan B. P. Ketaren, Yoga Pradana, and Andreas Dwiyanto from the 2017 class and with Dr.-Ing. Paryanto as a supervising lecturer. With confidence and a strong desire to innovate, in the end the SELITA team won 2nd place in the electric bicycle category and submitted the prototype results to PLN for further development. Winners will be announced online via Zoom on October 22, 2021.
From these results, Diponegoro University, especially the Department of Mechanical Engineering, succeeded in adding to the list of awards and showed that Diponegoro University students are one of Indonesia’s top students. With the presence of a new innovation in the field of electric vehicles, Indonesia will be more confident in achieving its goal of increasing the use of electric vehicles and reducing the use of vehicles using fuel oil (BBM). The SELITA team is grateful for the efforts and results that have been achieved and thanks the members, lecturers, and all parties who have contributed to the 2021 PLN ICE competition. Hopefully in the future the electric bicycles that have been made can be developed and produced and used by the community.
